SPRING LUNCH 

FRIDAY 14 MARCH 2014 

LAVENDER HOUSE HOTEL ASHBURTON

 

Firstly, may I wish a Happy New Year to you all. We thought we would come back towards the East again this Spring but return to the Lavender House as they really do look after us well there. It was a full 2 years since we were last there. Where does the time go?

Lavender House is situated off the A38 at the junction known as Peartree. It is signposted Ashburton and Princetown. Continue past the garage towards Princetown and negotiate the narrow bends for half a mile and just before a sharp left hander you will see the road to the hotel straight ahead on the right. (Ignore the little lane that actually turns to the right.)

The details you need are:

VENUE: Lavender House Hotel, Ashburton

DATE: Note well it is FRIDAY 14 March 2014 at 1200 for drinks and lunch at 1300 hours.

COST: £16.00 per head for a 2 course lunch or £19.50 for 3 courses including tea/coffee at the end. Now then, you can choose to have either starter or dessert for your 2 courses. If you would like 3 courses, fine, annotate the choice slip appropriately. Monies and choices to be remitted to Social Sec, Jan Reid by Friday 7 March 2014. No refunds can be made after that date. Tomato and red pepper Soup

Stilton & apricot pate with toasted brioche

 

Salmon roulade with buttered wholemeal bread 

 

Beef Olives with rich red wine sauce and dauphinois potatoes

 

Chicken chasseur & sautéed potatoes

 

Baked Salmon with Bercy sauce & new potatoes

 

Mediterranean Vegetables Filo Tart, with tomato & basil sauce         and sweet potato puree

 

All above served with seasonal vegetables 

 

Apple & Blackberry Crumble with cream or custard

 

White chocolate and fig tart with cream or ice cream

 

Fresh fruit salad with shortbread, cream optional

 

Coffee/Tea & Mints
